    Employer FAQs

Common questions from employers hiring truck drivers for Poland.

Can Indian drivers get their licence converted to EU Category C/C+E?

Poland does not automatically recognize Indian driving licences — an exchange or re-test process is required. We coordinate this through our Polish partner driving schools. Drivers with valid Indian HGV licences and 3+ years experience typically complete the Polish driving test (both theory and practical) within 4–6 weeks of arrival. Some clients permit us to complete this conversion before deployment, extending the overall timeline to 8–10 weeks.

Do drivers need a CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)?

Yes. EU Directive 2003/59/EC requires all commercial drivers to hold a valid Driver CPC, evidenced by the Digital Tachograph Card. For non-EU drivers, the initial CPC qualification involves a two-part exam and practical training (35 hours). We partner with Polish CPC training providers to schedule this as part of the onboarding process on arrival.

Can you supply drivers for EU-wide long-distance haulage routes?

Yes. Many of our placed drivers operate EU-wide routes from Poland — to Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, and the UK (via ferry). Long-distance drivers need EU cabotage rules awareness, multi-country toll payment systems, and international CMR waybill experience. We cover all of this in our pre-departure and in-country orientation.

What salary do truck drivers earn in Poland?

In Poland, HGV drivers earn 7,000–14,000 PLN gross/month depending on route type (domestic vs international), vehicle type, and ADR status. International haulage drivers typically earn significantly more due to dietas (daily travel allowances) that are tax-advantaged. ADR drivers for chemical tankers are among the highest-paid driver profiles. We advise clients on competitive positioning within the market.

Can truck drivers bring their families to Poland?

Yes. Truck drivers with stable employment and legal residency in Poland can apply for family reunification after 6–12 months. Poland has a relatively simple family permit process — spouse and children under 18 can join. The spouse is eligible for a work permit. We provide post-deployment family reunification guidance as part of our worker support service.
