Employer FAQs
Common questions from employers hiring construction workers for Poland.
How does the Oświadczenie pathway work for construction workers?
The Employer's Declaration (Oświadczenie) is the simplest and fastest route for non-EU workers entering Poland. The employer registers the vacancy with the local Powiatowy Urząd Pracy (Labour Office), and the worker applies for a Type D national visa. Total processing time is typically 2–4 weeks. Workers can stay up to 24 months and the permit is renewable. This pathway requires no labor market test for the sectors we recruit for.
Are Polish construction sites CHAS or other safety accredited?
Polish construction safety is governed by BHP legislation (Kodeks Pracy). All our construction workers receive BHP awareness training pre-departure covering work at height, PPE requirements, and site induction protocols. On arrival, the employer conducts the mandatory Szkolenie BHP wstępne (initial safety training) — we provide this in a bilingual (Polish/English) format.
Can you supply construction workers for motorway and railway projects?
Yes. Infrastructure projects (motorways, rail lines, bridges) often require large cohorts — 100–500 workers. We have experience with large infrastructure mobilizations and work with GDDKiA (General Directorate for National Roads) Tier-1 contractors. For infrastructure projects, plan 8–12 weeks for batches of 100+, with phased arrivals every 2–3 weeks.
What are typical wages for construction workers in Poland?
Under the Polish Minimum Wage legislation (5,200 PLN gross/month in 2026) and construction sector collective agreements, experienced construction workers earn 5,500–8,000 PLN gross/month. Formwork carpenters and steel fixers with strong portfolios earn at the top of this range. Most employers also provide accommodation (hostels at 300–500 PLN/month deducted) and transport to sites.
Can workers bring their families to Poland?
After establishing a work permit and stable employment (typically 6+ months), workers can apply for family reunification. Poland has become an increasingly popular settlement destination for Asian workers. EU citizenship for Polish residents remains a pathway after 5 years of legal residence. We provide post-deployment family reunification guidance as part of our worker support service.
